NEBULA is an immersive art party inspired by the origins of humanity within the depths of space. On July 11th, Haus of Other will transform the People’s Building in Aurora into a cosmic dreamscape through large scale art installations, surreal space-themed decor and futuristic alien-themed costumes.
Though humans have evolved to look different, we are all made of the same carbon and stardust that forms the universe. NEBULA stems from the belief that we are all aliens, and the immigration raids taking place in our country are not only unconstitutional, but deeply immoral.
It is important that all Others stand together in this moment. To that end, we will be raising funds for the legal defense of immigrants via RMIAN and other Colorado organizations.

"When I first started Haus of Other, my goal was to foster creativity and support charities within the queer community. Whether you are talking about lesbians taking care of sick patients during the AIDS crisis or the spreadsheets of testing centers we created during COVID, our community has been abandoned by the government time and time again, and we have always taken care of our own.
As the Haus has grown, however, I have come to realize that the word “other” is an umbrella that covers so many more people. The LGBTQ+ community was founded in resistance to oppression. We know what it is to be marginalized, oppressed, imprisoned, and even killed just for being who we are.
Right now, in this country, it is dangerous to be anything other than cisgender, male, and white. Communities of color, people with disabilities, women, and immigrants are all facing discrimination and losing their rights. Immigrants in particular are facing that same evil oppression that occurred in World War II, and trans immigrants have it even worse." READ MORE
